Trip Down Memory Lane

This morning a random song popped into my head and instantly took me back to my childhood. I hadn't thought about or heard Hanky Panky in years! I pictured my brother and me playing the vinyl 45 and singing all of the lyrics, and we had no idea what the song was about.

We didn't have a very big record collection growing up, and I distinctly remember playing Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell and Hallelujiah I Love Her So by The Beatles over and over again.

My parents loved to sing, and it wouldn't be unusual for them during a car ride to start harmonizing If you Want to Be a Badger or You Are My Sunshine. They would throw in some other songs that sounded made up, like Mares Eat Oats or Boom, Boom, Ain't It Great To Be Crazy, but I loved them anyway.

Oh, the memories.

Here's a picture from my first Christmas. I'm sure there was singing involved.
